Temari balls

Wanted to add this post because as stated in my introduction, I create art and craft in every way possible, thanks for visiting my blog!

A Temari Ball is a form of art first born in China, after a period of time Japan took over and from that point on it was magic. First created by parents and grandparents for children to play with they became pieces of art to collect or use as a display in the house, I keep all of mine on my table in a wooden bowl . Making a Temari is not simple, you have to form a perfect ball made with rice husk wrapped in floss, once the ball is formed you have to divide it in geometrical shapes and then with a particular method you go around the ball to form a design with embroidery floss, down below you can see my creations.
